Rare Gas Facilities

Main Vacuum Lines and Spectrometer

The heart of the facility is a VG 5400 rare gas mass spectrometer which is fitted with a Faraday cup and a Johnston electron multiplier.  Also attached to the same vacuum lines is a Dycor Quadrupole Gas Analyzer.  This arrangement allows for analysis of noble gas isotopes as well as bulk gas composition.
