Professor Tarduno and his students have recently initiated several projects in southern Africa. These studies span the geological time scale and include investigations of the Archean geomagnetic field (Barberton area, South Africa), the Mesozoic field (Lesotho and South Africa) and the archeomagnetic record of South Africa.
