Glacier Fiord

Our time at glacier fiord was short, only 3 days. In that time we sampled the Christopher shale and collected many of the shelly fossils found within it. The view at glacier fiord was the most beautiful of all, and was only enhanced by frequent musk ox sightings.

On warm days, the river was very swift, from all the water melted from the glaciers
Packing up camp. When it was time to move camp, we had to pack up all of our supplies in the wooden boxes so the helicopter could transport them.
