Field Excursion Notes:

Some preliminary field excursion guidelines:
  1. small backpack or duffle bag that can hold your sleeping bag and sleeping ground pad
  2. small day pack
Some good ideas: geologic hammer, geologic hand lens, high field book, camera, guide to rocks and minerals
